BlueHost Hosting
In the year 2000, I created an Internet services company called NimbleDomain
Inc., and operated it for two years. At its peak, the
company served more than 1,500 clients
running on servers in data centers located in the U.S. and
Canada. NimbleDomain offered Linux and Windows hosting, domain management
(forwarding, etc.), and live
com/net/org registration through the OpenSRS API.
By creating and running NimbleDomain, I learned a great deal about DNS.
I sold the company when it began to interfere with my
editorial work.
Because of NimbleDomain, I'm frequently asked for
hosting recommendations. I typically suggest
BlueHost, which offers
Linux/Cpanel hosting for reasonable rates. Although some have claimed to have
experienced problems with BlueHost as the company grew rapidly over the past
several years, I've found the
BlueHost servers to be reliable and the customer support to be excellent.
